Akhir-akhir ini informasi terkait boikot produk Israel terus berlangsung. Hampir setiap hari informasi tersebut bertengger. Namun selalu informasi tersebut tidak tuntas mengusir dahaga yang dirasakan masyarakat.
Di satu sisi, ada fatwa MUI No.83 Tahun 2023 yang salah satu isinya menyatakan bahwa sedapat mungkin menghindari transaksi dan penggunaan produk Israel atau yang terafiliasi dengan Israel. Hal ini dinyatakan lebih tegas bahwa membeli produk Israel atau yang terafiliasi dengan Israel itu haram hukumnya. Dalam hal ini, MUI tidak menyebutkan produk apa yang dimaksud.
Di sisi lain, terdapat informasi berseliweran di berbagai media sosial yang menyebutkan produk Israel atau yang terafiliasi dengan Israel. Informasi ini tentu mendapat sambutan dari masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat muslim. Sehingga terjadilah pemboikotan dari pembelian produk-produk yang diinformasikan di atas. Hal ini berdampak positif di satu sisi, namun dampak negatif pun tak dapat dihindari, yaitu dengan dimungkinkannya terjadi PHK yang di dalamnya ada umat Islam bekerja.
Dari pihak MUI menegaskan bahwa tidak mengharamkan produknya, tetapi mengharamkan dukungan kepada Israel. Karenanya tidak disebutkan produk-produk Israel tersebut dalam fatwanya. Namun demikian, masyarakat memerlukan kejelasan dari produk-produk dimaksud agar tidak salah, yang akan menyebabkan jatuh pada perbuatan haram.
Ada satu pertanyaan besar, lalu salahnya di mana? Ketika muncul produk-produk Israel dan yang terafiliasi dengan Israel pada masyarakat diungkapkan. Karena masyarakat tentu ingin kejelasan dalam hal itu, tersebab tidak diungkapkan dalam fatwa MUI.
