Puasa kalo udah tinggal seminggu udah mulai kecium nyeng namanya bau Lebaran,orang kampung kita dulu kalo udah mo deket ama nyeng namanya Lebaran udah mulain sibuk bebikinan, nyeng bikin dodol,wajik,akar kelapa ama biji ketapang.
Ada tradisi dibulan Ramadhan nyeng kudu kita lestariin yaitu tradisi ngejotin,tradisi ngejotin adalah tradisi bebawaan kue khas kampung kita buat sedara nyeng lebih tua.Kue nyeng kudu ada di tradisi ngejotin adalah kue lepet,ketupat,kue pisang,unti dan abug, sebenernya kalo di betawi pinggiran kaya Bekasi nyeng namanya bikin tupat mah bukan lebaran tapi pas maleman ganjil akhir mo puasa,kalo lebaran mah biasanya nyeng dibikin dodol,wajik,akar kelapa, geplak,tape ama uli masakan nya semur kebo, sayur kembili ama sambelan buat nyorog.
Tradisi bebawaannya disebut ngejotin tapi sedekahannya disebut sedekahan maleman, ini biasanya dipake setiap malem ganjil 21,23,25 dan 27 tapi entuh bukan saban tanggal ganjil pada bikin begituan,melainkan disetiap kampung beda tanggal nya jadi kaga bareng nyeng pasti tapi di malem ganjil, contohnya kaya di Pondok gede makenya tanggal 21 sedangkan di daerah Lubang baya make tanggal 25 atawa 27 emang sejak dari jaman nenek moyang tradisi entuh udah ada tapi memakai tanggalan nyeng berbeda,kalo menurut orang tua tradisi ngejotin ganti tanggal biar bebawaanya bisa gantian.
Kalo udah waktunya tanggal ngejotin entuh baba kita udah pada kedangsakan pada nyari daon kelapa muda ama daon pisang,saking dulu mah pu-un kelapa banyak ama pu-un pisang bejibun jadi kaga pada beli tinggal modal bisa ngangsrod aja,kalo pas ari mo ngejotin entuh semua rumah pada sibuk nganam kulit tupat ama lepet,bikinnya go banyak sesuai ama sedara nyeng mao dibawain,mangkanya ampe ada nyeng ngerebus tupat ama lepet ampe sepenuh ukuran langseng gede,kalo nyeng kaga punya langseng gede dulu mah pada bikin dari kaleng minyak goreng ukuran gede,jaman dulu entuh minyak goreng nyeng buat diecer diwarung masing jaman kalengan.
Girang pisan kalo udah dateng musim ngejotin entuh orang pada gendong bakul isi kue buat bebawaan kesedaranya nyeng lebih tua,pada jalan lewat galengan sawah,nyebrang lewat jembatan wah seru entuh sawah jadi rame banyak orang nyeng pada lewat soalnya jaman dulu orang belon pada punya kedek(motor) ada sepeda singking entuh go nyeng punya cuman atu dua orang aja.
Entuh kue kaga diabisin buat diejotin tapi disisain buat selametan dilanggar,entuh semua kue dari masing -masing rumah di kumpulin di langgar buat dibacain doa ama amil,sedekahan inilah nyeng disebut sedekahan maleman ganjil. Sedekahan sebagai rasa syukur kita puasa diberi kesehatan dan keberkahan ampe malem 21 atawa malem-malem ganjil mao penghujung bulan puasa.
Sayang sekarang orang udah banyak nyeng ninggalin tradisi ngejotin dan tradisi selametan maleman,ada nyeng masih ngerjain tapi kue khas maleman nya udah kaga kiatan,udah kaga alami kaya jaman dulu….
