Sekilas mendengar kata literasi biasa saja. Namun sebenarnya literasi merupakan sesuatu yang luar biasa, bahkan literasi merupakan jalan menuju surga. Kok bisa?. Mari baca hadis Rasulullah SAW yang artinya: ” Telah aku tinggalkan dua hal yang apabila kalian berpegang teguh pada dua hal tersebut, kalian tidak akan sesat selamanya, yaitu al quran dan alhadis”. Demikian sabda Rasulullah SAW yang diriwayatkan oleh Imam Malik (Lihat Maktabah Syamilah, Muwatha Imam Malik, Juz. 1, hlm.108, No. 3088). Al quran merupakan pedoman umat Islam dalam bentuk tulisan atau kitab yang terdiri dari 30 juz, 114 surat dan 6236 ayat. Demikian al hadis yang disandarkan pada Rasulullah SAW, itu pun dalam bentuk tulisan.
Baik al quran dan al hadis merupakan sumber literasi dan menjadi literasi sehari-hari yang dibaca bahkan dikaji oleh umat Islam di berbagai pelosok dunia. Al quran yang merupakan mu’ jizat Nabi Muhamad SAW memiliki kelebihan dibanding kitab suci atau bacaan lainnya, yaitu pahala. Maksudnya al quran merupakan bacaan yang mendapatkan pahala bagi pembacanya. Karena memang keduanta merupakan sumber hukum dalam Islam, hingga keberadaannya akan selalu mewarnai hidup umat Islam dalam menjawab persoalan-persoalan yang muncul dalam kehidupan. Al quran dan al hadis berisi tentang berbagai hal dalam kehidupan manusia dibagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu, pertama, mengatur hubungan manusia dengan Allah SWT yang dikenal dengan istilah hablum minallah (vertical). Kedua, mengatur hubungan manusia dengan manusia atau makhluk lainnya yang dikenal dengan istilah hablum minnas (horizontal).
Di antara ajaran Islam dan sesuai dengan turunnya ayat pertama yaitu membaca dan menulis sesuai dengan firman Allah SWT dalam surat Al alaq ayat 1. Dalam ayat tersebut dijelaskan bahwa membaca merupakan perintah pertama untuk manusia. Dengan membaca termasuk mengaji al quran dan al hadis, maka dengan sendirinya literasi telah berjalan. Oleh karena itu, literasi berlandaskan al quran dan al hadis tentu akan membawa kepada surga, karena kedua hal tersebut merupakan dasar atau pedoman hidup umat Islam. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan, ketika seseorang sudah menyandarkan kepada al quran dan al hadis dalam kehidupannya, tentu kehidupannya akan berjalan secara benar, karena kedua sumber tersebut berasal dari dzat yang Maha Benar.
Selain hadis tersebut di atas, terdapat pula hadis lain yang berbunyi:”Apabila manusia meninggal dunia, maka akan putus semua amal perbuatannya kecuali tiga hal yaitu: amal jariah, ilmu yang bermanfaat dan anak salih yang mendoakan orang tuanya”.( HR. Syafi’i. Lihat Maktabah Syamilah, Musnad As Syafi’i, Juz.2, hlm.13, hadis No.31). Dalam hadis tersebut dijelaskan bahwa salah satu dari tiga hal yang tidak akan membuat putus amal seseorang adalah ilmu yang bermanfaat. Ilmu atau pengetahuan dapat bermanfaat salah satunya dengan ditulis atau dibukukan. Hal ini sesuai dengan pesan Allah SWT dalam QS Al Alaq ayat 1, yang artinya: “Bacalah dengan menyebut nama yang menciptakan”. Dalam ayat ini menjelaskan bahwa dalam Islam, belajar (baca) menjadi kewajiban. Hal ini diperkuat dengan sabda Nabi SAW:” bahwa mencari ilmu merupakan kewajiban bagi setiap muslim”(HR. Ibnu Majah. Lihat Kitab Hadis Sunan Ibnu Majah, Juz.1, hlm.81, hadis No. 224).
Ayat 1 QS Al Alaq tersebut diakhiri dengan kata “khalak” yang berarti mencipta. Dalam hal ini jelas pesan Allah bahwa umat Islam harus membaca dan menulis bahkan sampai mencipta (berupa karya dari hasil membaca yaitu berupa tulisan atau buku). Berdasarkan hal ini, maka menulis atau menciptakan buku merupakan keniscayaan yang harus dimiliki umat, sesuai dengan tugas manusia di muka bumi sebagai khalifah atau wakil Tuhan, sebagaimana tertera dalam QS al baqarah ayat 30:” Sesungguhnya Aku jadikan manusia sebagai khalifah di muka bumi ini”. Ketika pengetahuan itu ditulis atau dibukukan, maka akan membawa banyak manfaat. Bukan saja untuk orang di zamannya bahkan ketika penulisnya sudah wafat pun karyanya masih dapat dimanfaatkan orang lain. Hal ini tentu akan membuahkan pahala yang tiada terhenti, sebagaimana sabda Rasulullah SAW di atas dan firman Allah dalam surat at Tin ayat 7 dengan kalimat “ghairu mamnun” tidak terputus. Buku atau karya tersebut akan abadi dikenang orang, sebagaimana slogan “Manusia Mati Meninggalkan Nama, Bukan Nama dalam Batu Nisan, Namun Nama dalam Tulisan”. Seseorang dengan hasil karyanya kemudian dapat membuat orang lain berbuat baik, maka akan mendapatkan pahala yang tiada terhenti, walau si pencipta buku tersebut telah wafat, sebagaimana sabda Rasulullah SAW: “Barangsiapa yang menunjukkan jalan kebaikan, maka ia akan mendapatkan pahala seperti orang yang melakukannya”.(HR.Muslim. Lihat Maktabah Syamilah, Shahih Muslim, Juz. 3, hlm.1506, No.1893). Hal ini tentu akan membawa kepada surga Allah SWT.
