Dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Jawa Barat, diperlukan berbagai inisiatif yang mendukung pengembangan kapasitas guru, siswa, dan pemimpin pendidikan. Sebagai agen perubahan, guru memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam membangun generasi bangsa melalui dedikasi, kreativitas, dan inspirasi. Namun, tantangan dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini seperti perubahan kurikulum, teknologi digital, dan kebutuhan siswa yang semakin beragam, menuntut guru dan pemimpin pendidikan untuk terus beradaptasi dan berinovasi. Dengan semangat “Membangun Generasi dengan Cinta dan Inspirasi,” IGI menghelat serangkaian kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendukung para pendidik dalam memberikan kontribusi terbaik bagi pembelajaran generasi penerus .
Bertempat di KODIM TNI AD YONIF 330 Nagreg, Kabupaten Bandung tanggal 18-19 Januari 2025 beragam kegiatan digelar yaitu Seminar Nasional, Dewi Sartika Award 2025, Rapat Koordinasi Pengurus IGI Jawa Barat, dan Bootcamp Pengurus IGI Jawa Barat.
Kegiatan diawali dengan acara pembukaan tanggal 18 Januari 2025, mulai pukul 08.00 WIB sampai selesai. Kumandang lagu kebangsaan Indonesia Raya dan Mars Ikatan Guru Indonesia (IGI) membahana di Aula Yonif 330 membakar semangat peserta yang berasal dari seluruh daerah di Jawa Barat dan juga dihadiri oleh Pengurus Pusat (PP) IGI. Dilanjutkan dengan pembacaan doa sebagai bukti patuh atas ketetapan Allah SWT, Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, bermunajat untuk kesuksesan dan keberkahan acara.
Sebagai Ketua Panitia, Ibu Sri Mulyani, menyampaikan kata sambutan sekaligus melaporkan kesiapan kegiatan, dirangkaikan dengan kata sambutan dari Ketua Wilayah IGI Jawa Barat, Bapak Anwar Sanusi.
Seminar pendidikan akan menjadi wadah bagi para guru dan siswa untuk mendapatkan wawasan baru dari para pakar dan praktisi pendidikan. Seminar ini akan mengangkat tema-tema relevan yang membahas penguatan karakter, inovasi pembelajaran, dan peran teknologi dalam mendukung pendidikan yang lebih efektif dan inspiratif. Sebagai wujud apresiasi, penghargaan kepada guru berdedikasi akan diberikan kepada guru yang telah menunjukkan komitmen luar biasa dalam mendidik dan menginspirasi siswa. Selain itu, Leadership Bootcamp akan memberikan pelatihan kepada pemimpin sekolah dan guru tentang kepemimpinan berbasis karakter dan kolaborasi, demikian laporan Ketua Panitia.
Menurut Ketua Wilayah IGI Jabar, “Dalam rangkaian kegiatan ini akan diadakan Rapat Koordinasi Wilayah IGI Jabar untuk mengkonsolidasikan peran dan program Ikatan Guru Indonesia (IGI) di Jawa Barat. Melalui rapat ini, seluruh pemangku kepentingan pendidikan dapat menyamakan visi dan strategi untuk menghadirkan pendidikan yang inklusif, inovatif, dan berbasis karakter. Selain itu, kegiatan menjadi momen penting untuk membangun jejaring kerja sama antar guru, organisasi pendidikan, dan pemerintah daerah untuk menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di masa depan,” ungkap Ketua Wilayah IGI Jawa Barat.
Sambutan berikutnya disampaikan oleh Kepala Balai Besar Guru Penggerak (BBGP) Provinsi Jawa Barat, Bapak Mohamad Hartono, S.H., M.Ed. Beliau berharap IGI mampu berkontribusi dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan melalui berbagai kegiatan untuk peningkatan kompetensi guru. “BBGP siap berkolaborasi dan bersinergi dengan IGI untuk hal ini”, demikian harapan Kepala BBGP Provinsi Jawa Barat.
Diselingi dengan tampilan seni tari oleh siswa EKSTABOS (Ekskul tari bojes) SMPN 2 Bojongsoang, Kab. Bandung. Tari kreasi berjudul Wanoja karya Ibu Ristyana Maharani, S.S. mampu memeriahkan acara.
Berikutnya presentasi dari pihak EPSON yang dipaparkan oleh Ibu Hesti Astina (Product Manager Visual Instrument Epson Indonesia) sebagai sponsor kegiatan. Sebagai sebuah Perusahaan multinasional asal Jepang, PT EPSON sangat berperan dalam dunia pendidikan. Produsen pencetak peralatan terkait fasilitas pendukung pembelajaran, EPSON sebagai perusahaan riset dan pengembangan manufaktur hadir memfasilitasi dunia pendidikan. Salah satunya dengan perangkat proyektor atau infoccus yang lazim dipergunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Tak salah jika IGI menjalin kerjasama dan bermitra dengan perusahaan penyedia peralatan terkait pencitraan dan informasi terbesar di dunia ini. Hadiah doorprize yang dibagikan kepada peserta yang beruntung merupakan apresiasi dari EPSON bagi para guru Indonesia.
Beranjak ke acara inti dengan menghadirkan pembicara Bunda Itje Chodidjah (Ketua Harian Komisi Nasional Indonesia UNESCO). Mengusung tema “Ujian Nasional: Perlu Gak Ya?”, seminar pendidikan ini begitu dinanti para peserta yang sebagian besar merupakan guru berbagai tingkatan.
“Evaluasi itu bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi. Setelah mendapatlan informasi, lalu untuk apa?”, demikian kalimat pemantik yang dilontarkan oleh narasumber hebat dalam seminar ini.
Lebih lanjut narasumber bertutur, “Karena ujian nasional itu, guru tidak punya waktu untuk melakukan refleksi. Akhirnya kita berlomba-lomba untuk mendapatkan nilai tinggi. Ada anak yang nilai ujiannya tinggi-tinggi, padahal tidak pernah belajar. Dapat darimana nilai tinggi? Anak-anak dibohongi sejak mereka sekolah karena meskipun tidak belajar, mereka bisa mendapatkan hasil yang baik. Walhasil, terjadi sejarah kelam dalam ujian nasional waktu itu.”
Bunda Itje berharap IGI menjadi organisasi bergerak untuk melakukan perubahan dalam Ujian Nasional dan menyampaikan logika perlunya perubahan dalam pendidikan. Bunda Itje bersedia menginfakkan ilmunya untuk kemajuan pendidikan bersama IGI. Hal ini disambut dengan tepuk tangan meriah oleh para anggota IGI.
“Asesmen dirancang untuk menunjang keberhasilan proses. Di sini diperlukan motivasi bagi anak. Oleh karena itu, umpan balik itu sangat penting untuk perbaikan pembelajaran bagi siswa dan guru”, lanjut Bunda Itje.
Sebagai penutup paparannya, Bunda Itje menyampaikan pertanyaan sebagai bahan refleksi yaitu ketika hasil asesmen yang telah dilangsungkan dengan benar selama proses pembelajaran, apa gunanya Ujian Nasional? Apa tujuannya? Informasi atau data yang diperoleh akan dimanfaatkan oleh siapa dan untuk tujuan apa? Apakah sudah dipastikan bahwa semua sekolah di seluruh Indonesia, baik guru dan proses pembelajarannya merata kualitasnya? Jika hanya fokus pada mata Pelajaran tertentu saja, apa akibatnya, padahl semua mata Pelajaran yang disediakan di sekolah adalah alat untuk menyiapkan kompetensi siswa dalam segi kognitif, keterampilan, dan sikap? Apakah dapat dipastikan bahwa soal dibuat secara tepat untuk mengukur capaian pembelajaran secara nasional?
‘’Mari bersama kita kaji”, harapnya sambil menutup pemaparan.
Seminar pendidikan masih berlanjut dengan menampilkan narasumber kedua yaitu Bapak Danang Hidayatullah. Sebagai Ketua Umum Ikatan Guru Indonesia (IGI), pria yang lazim disapa Mas Danhid memotivasi anggota IGI agar berperan serta aktif dalam meningkatka kualitas pendidikan, melalui berbagai aksi nyata. “Bersama IGI, kita akan sharing and growing together,” tandasnya.
Usai sesi tanya jawab yang memberikan kesempatan kepada beberapa penanya, moderator (Hj. Euis Hasanah, M.M.Pd.) menutup sesi seminar pendidikan.
Acara berlanjut dengan pengumuman dan pemberian penghargaan kepada pemenang DEWI SARTIKA AWARD. Berikut ini pemenang untuk masing-masing katagori.

Waktu beranjak siang, acara berakhir dan ditutup dengan sesi foto bersama. Terpancar rasa puas di wajah peserta karena kesempatan ini membawa pencerahan dan mendapatkan asupan bernutrisi sebagai bekal untuk menjadi pendidik yang profesional dan kompeten di bidangnya.
Seperti ungkapan Wakil Ketua I IGI Wilayah Jabar: Ibu Lilis Ikaningsih, yang juga sudah berkontribusi tanpa lelah demi kesuksesan acara, “Melalui ajang seperti ini, menguatkan peran IGI sebagai wajah tercetusnya ide-ide segar yang berorientasi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan.”
Semoga IGI mampu mendorong profesionalisme keguruan serta pendewasaan dan kemandirian para siswa, baik yang masih proses belajar maupun lulusan. Ke depan diharapkan IGI mampu meningkatkan kepedulian dan partisipasi masyarakat luas untuk bersama-sama membangun masa depan melalui pendidikan yang berkualitas bagi generasi muda, sebagaimana termaktub dalam tujuan organisasi.
